Presentation: Solar Observing

The presentation is an introductory look at how to observe the Sun safely, including:

• Warnings about the dangers of solar observation to both eyesight and equipment.
• The differences between observation using projection, solar filters, and more advanced equipment, such as DSLR cameras.
• Getting the data you need on different formats
• Finding help on the internet
• A brief look at hydrogen alpha equipment.

This is not a technical presentation and should be suitable for anyone interested in or beginning to learn about Solar Observation.
